  • Creating an Account on Noones

    Cryptocurrency can be intimidating for newbies so we've created a guide on how to create an account on Noones to help you get started.

    Your Noones journey begins with a simple decision: whether or not to create an account. If you think that you’re ready to take the plunge into the world of crypto and financial freedom, then the next step is to create your Noones account. Creating your account is easy and very user-friendly. Upon registering, you also get a free wallet to store the cryptocurrency you earn from trading on Noones.

    To create a new Noones account:

    1. Open a web browser and launch the Noones webpage: https://noones.com.

    2. Click Get started on the main page.

    3. Choose if you'd like to create an account with your phone number or email address, enter your data (phone number or email address), and click on the Claim my Noones ID.

    4. On the next screen you need to create a password and click the Join button.

    Note: 

    • When you register on Noones, a username will automatically be assigned to you, but you can customize it later. 
    • Click I have referral code to register your referral code received from another Noones user.

    4. From there, you'll need to verify your phone or email address (whichever one you choose to create your account with).

    Once you have created your account, we recommend verifying your phone or email address (whichever one you did not use to sign up with) and identity as well to gain more trading opportunities on our platform.   • Why is My Noones Account Frozen or Restricted?

    To maintain safe conditions within the Noones marketplace, we take action on accounts that violate any of our Terms of Service. These actions will have a status that restricts the usage of Noones.

    If your account is suspended, you are restricted from using your Noones account. 

    If your account is locked, you temporarily won’t be able to login to your Noones account — this could be because you logged in from a new location, or we may have detected suspicious activity so it’s been locked to keep you safe. For more information, take a look at this article.

    If your account is frozen, you temporarily can’t buy or sell on Noones and you can’t withdraw any funds. 

    If your account has been limited, you are either permanently/temporarily restricted from trading, creating, and editing offers. Although your account is restricted, wallet services will still be available such as receiving, sending, and converting crypto.

    If your account is on-hold, your account is restricted for a period of time for further review. After the time period expires, you can withdraw any funds in your wallet. If your account is not ID verified, you’ll be required to verify your ID before you can withdraw any funds.

    If your account is banned, you are permanently restricted from buying and selling. However, you will still be able to do a one-time withdrawal of all your funds from your Noones account and send it to any wallet address you choose. If you’re from a country on this list, or if you have reached your wallet send out limit, you’ll be required to verify your ID before you can withdraw your funds.

    What causes account restrictions?

    Here are some of the activities that can lead to your account being restricted: 

    • Seller of cryptocurrency asking to cancel the trade after the payment was completed.
    • Conducting a trade outside of Noones trade escrow by communicating through Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.
    • Making a chargeback or reversing the payment after it has been processed.
    • Coin locking or holding a seller’s cryptocurrency in escrow without the intention to make the payment and complete the trade.
    • Unauthorized use of gift cards, such as selling a gift card in multiple trades and selling gift cards that have already been used. 
    • Forcing or tricking a trade partner to immediately release their cryptocurrency.

    Noones has zero tolerance for the following:

    • Using multiple Noones accounts.
    • Using a fake identity or falsified verification documents.
    • Using Noones from a country listed on this page.
    • Unauthorized use of gift cards / chargebacks / defrauding users.

    How do I remove the restriction?

    Some account restrictions such as banned and suspended are not reversible, therefore the actions are final

    However, if your account is frozen, first check your email for information, and then contact Support to figure out the next steps for appeal.

    What are the requirements to stay within the Trader Program?

    The metric thresholds for keeping the status are lower than the ones to get, but you have to meet every criteria:

    How will I know if I'm eligible to be part of the Trader Program?

    Once you meet the requirements we'll send a notification to your Noones account letting you know! We'll also send an email to the address linked to your Noones account.

    I've met all the requirements. How do I get an account badge?

    Great question! Once you've completed the required number of trades and your account is in good standing, you can contact our support team. They'll review your account and add the badge if you meet the requirements. Once you have your badge you can begin enjoying the benefits of the program!

    Can I lose my Trader Program status?

    Yes, you can. We look at your account on a rolling basis. See above for the requirements to stay within the Trader Program.

  • My Public Profile

    Your profile contains a summary of your account and your history on Noones. Other Noones users can view the following information:

    • Username
    • Profile picture
    • Verification - information if your email, phone, ID or address are verified,  and you were verified as a trusted vendor.
    • Reputation - an aggregation of the positive and negative feedback that you have received on Noones.
    • Active offers - offers you created that are currently active.
    • Your profile language
    • Number of trade partners
    • Number of trades
    • Trade volume - total BTC you’ve traded on Noones.
    • Number of users who trust you
    • Number of users who have blocked you
    • Time elapsed since you joined Noones
    • Last time you were online on Noones

    As you can see, your public profile will contain all the credentials you have earned on Noones and will help other users decide if you are a safe trade partner or not.

  • Trusted/Blocked List

    Your Trusted and Blocked list helps you filter your contact list and makes it easier for you to mark whom to trade with on Noones.

    Apart from the various external indicators that can help you decide whether certain users are safe to trade with or not, you can also trust and block users based on your personal experience trading with them.

    Trusting Users 

    Trusting users you’ve had a good trade experience with, is a good way to stay connected with them. For example, if you constantly find that a user trades efficiently with you, you can then mark that user as your trusted user. In this way, their offers will be prioritized in your feed. When creating offers, there are also options where you can choose to show your offer only to your list of trusted buyers.

    Trusting users is a way to make real connections with them, but just like in real life, be careful whom you trust on Noones.

    Blocking Users

    While trusting users is the way to build a healthy trade relationship with decent traders, blocking is for the contrary. If you’ve had a bad experience trading with someone (e.g. it wasn’t as efficient as you’d hoped for, or if you were scammed), you can block that particular user. If you block a vendor, they will not be able to see your offers on their list. Similarly, if you block a buyer, you won’t be able to see their offers on your list.

    Blocking is a way to ensure that the bad apples don’t bother you.

    To trust or block a user follow these steps:

    1. Click on the username on any page (offer list, trade chat, past trades in your dashboard, etc.)
      The user profile opens.
    2. Click Trust or Block links under the username to mark the user as trusted, or to block them respectively.

    Note:

    • You can always undo this action later.
    • You can only block a user if you are ID verified or if you have previously traded with that user.

    To view and manage your blocked and trusted list, go to your Contact list.

  • Changing Phone Number

    You can change your registered phone number on your Noones account. Here's how you can easily change your number on Noones.

    1. Log in to your Noones account, hover over your username on the top right of the page and click Settings from the context menu that appears.

    2. The Settings page will appear and on the menu on the left, click Profile.

    3. Click Change number near to PHONE field.

    4. Confirm the action by clicking Click to send reset link to email. An email will be sent to your inbox.

    5. Open the email from  and click the link in the email. You will then be redirected to the security questionnaire on our website.

    Note: The link received in your email will expire after 30 minutes from the time the email appears on your inbox.

    6. Answer your security questions and click Submit. Your phone number is now reset. Follow the phone verification procedure to finalize the process.

    If you face are any issues answering the security questions or receiving the email, please contact support for help.

     

  • How to Change Your Email Address

    You can change your email address linked to your Noones account by going to the Settings page and following these steps:

    1. Go to your Settings page from your account icon in the upper right hand corner.
    2. Underneath the Account settings header, click on “Change Email”.
    3. A pop-up window will appear, where you can click “Continue”.
    4. You'll be directed to enter a validation code from your phone, either via SMS or your 2FA verification. 
    5. You'll now need to type in the email address you'd like to associate with your Noones account, then click “Verify Email”.
    6. Go to your email inbox and copy the code we send you.
    7. Verify your email address by inputting the code when prompted. 

    After setting up the new email associated with your Noones account, you'll see a pop-up window that will confirm the change.

    Here are a few things to keep in mind: 

    • Your account must have Phone, Email and ID Verification completed.
    • It may take up to 24 hours for our system to complete the change of your account’s email address. 
    • If you’re using 2FA, you will receive a validation code through either Google Authenticator or Authy. 
    • You *must* be able to verify the new email address. If you're unable to, you won't be able to change your email to that specific address. 
    • You are only able to change your email address 3 times.

    For your security, some email address change requests need to be reviewed by our support team. If you are unable to change your email address through the steps above, you can reach out to us through the contact form. For more information on how to use this form, check out this article.

    Once our support team receives your request, we’ll ask you a few questions to make sure you’re the owner of your Noones account. From there, our team will take a look at processing your request.

  • Account Locked

    If you can’t access your account and see a message that it is LOCKED – here are two possible reasons and what you can do to fix it:

    1. Geolocation lock. If you log in from a new location, you have to approve it through email to log in.

      What to do?
      Check your inbox for an unlock link. Click the link and continue using our website.

      If you are still unable to access your account or have not received an email with a link from Noones, please let us know the error message or send us a screenshot so we can help you with it.

    2. We identify suspicious activity on your account. As a result, we may lock it for security purposes to prevent any criminal action on our platform. The account will remain locked until we confirm your ownership and identity.

      What to do?
      Contact support for assistance.
  • What "A User has Blocked You" Means?

    You shouldn't worry if you receive a message saying that a user has “blocked” you. It doesn’t affect your account and the actions you can perform on it.

    Being “blocked” on Noones isn’t the end of the world. If a user blocks you, it means that they won’t see any offers you post in the future. They may have their own reasons but it won’t affect your standing on Noones and it won’t affect your ability to sell and buy cryptocurrency. So just continue to use your account normally. As a pro tip, you can try to be as transparent and forthcoming as you can with your trade partners. But at the end of the day, keep in mind that you can’t please everyone.

  • Closing Account

    Although unfortunate, you can close your account on Noones if you intend to. In this guide, we will teach you how to do so. For legal and compliance purposes, Noones is required to keep all records and trading histories of all our users both current and past.

    To close your Noones account

    1. Hover over your username on the top right of the page and click Settings from the context menu that appears. 
    2. The Settings page will appear and on the menu on the left, click Security.
    3. Under the Close account section, click Close account.
      Then, the Request to close account dialog box will appear.
    4. Select one of the pre-defined reasons or select Other and type your own reason for account deactivation and click Send request.
      A confirmation email will be sent to your inbox from .
    5. Open the email and click Close Account.

    The request is added to our queue and the moderators will review it before arriving at a decision. If the request is declined, the moderator will provide a reason via email. We request your patience as this is a time-consuming process. 

    Warning: If after submitting your request you still have trading activity, wallet balance, or active disputes, your request will be rejected.

  • Managing Telegram Notifications

    Telegram is one of the most popular messengers amongst our users. This is why we have an integration for Telegram notifications. This feature makes it much easier for you to be aware of everything that is happening to your Noones account including trade statuses and your wallet balance. This guide will show which events you can be notified about and how to activate or deactivate Telegram notifications for your Noones account.

    You can set your Telegram notifications for the following events:

    • Someone viewed your profile
    • Someone viewed your offer
    • Cryptocurrency deposit pending
    • Cryptocurrency deposit confirmed
    • Incoming trade
    • Partner paid you for a trade
    • Trade cancelled/expired
    • Cryptocurrency sold
    • Cryptocurrency purchased

    Activating Telegram notifications


    1. Log in to your Noones account, hover over your username located in the top right corner of the page and click Settings for the
    Account settings page to appear.

    2. Under the Telegram icon, click Activate

    3. A Telegram Bot Activation dialogue window will then appear. Click Activate in Telegram

    Note: You can also click Copy link and paste the link into a new tab to get to the next step.

    4. On the Telegram activation page, click SEND MESSAGE.

    Note:

    • For the mobile view, simply select whether you want to open the app or web version of Telegram and proceed to step 5.
    • Make sure you are logged in to your Telegram account on the same device.
    • After clicking SEND MESSAGE, a dialogue window may appear asking permission to open the Telegram app. Depending on your browser, click Allow or Open Telegram.
    • To open the web version of Telegram, click OPEN IN WEB.

    A conversation starts with Noones Telegram bot in your Telegram account.
    5. In your Telegram account, open the conversation with Noones Telegram (Noones_bot) bot and click Start.

    A notification appears in your Noones account inbox: Noones Telegram Bot activated successfully. You receive a message from Noones Telegram bot: Successfully subscribed.

    You are successfully subscribed to Noones Telegram notifications.

    Deactivating Telegram notifications

    Note: You may need to deactivate Noones Telegram bot in case if you need to connect it to a new Telegram account. To stop receiving notifications, you may simply untick checkboxes in your Notifications list located in your Noones account settings.

    1. Log in to your Noones account, hover over your username located in the top right corner of the page and click Settings for the Account settings page to appear.

    2. Under the Telegram icon, click Deactivate

    3. Then the Deactivate Telegram Bot dialogue window will appear and click Deactivate bot to confirm deactivation.

    A notification appears in your Noones account inbox: Noones Telegram Bot unsubscribed successfully. You will receive a message from Noones Telegram bot: Successfully unsubscribed confirming that you have stopped receiving Noones Telegram notifications.

  • Adding Bank Account to User Profile

    This article shows you how to manage bank details in your offer so you don’t have to send this sensitive information every time you have a bank transfer trade. You can save more than one bank account and use them for all your bank transfer trades.

    Adding bank account

    1. Login to your account, hover over your username and click Settings for the Account settings page to appear.

    2. Keep your bank account details handy and click Payment Details on the left menu.

    3. Choose your account type, country, and currency and click Next.

    4. Complete the following fields:

    Field Name Description Comments
    Account Number Your personal account number with the bank.  
    Account Holder Name The account holder’s name. The account holder’s name must be exactly as stated in the account.
    IBAN Your International Bank Account Number EU only
    Bank Your bank’s name. Nigeria only

    5. Click International transfer details (optional) and complete the additional fields as follows:

    Note: If you want to receive international payments, additional details about Account Holder are necessary.

    Field Name Description Comments
    Country of residency Your current country of residence. As stated in the bank account related documents. This is not your country of citizenship.
    State/Region Your current state or region of residence. As stated in the bank account related documents.
    City Your current city of residence. As stated in the bank account related documents.
    Zip Code The Zip Code of your current residence. As stated in the bank account related documents.
    Address Your complete address of residence. As stated in the bank account related documents.

    6. Click Add account.
    Your account will now be added to the list of your bank accounts in your profile.

    Note: 

    • You can edit/remove account details in the future. 
    • You can save multiple bank accounts and use them for all your bank transfer trades.

    Deleting bank account

    1. Login to your account, hover over your username and click Settings for the Account settings page to appear.

    2. Click Payment Details on the left menu.

    3. The list of your bank accounts will appear. Then choose the account you want to be deleted and click Delete.

    4. A confirmation dialogue box will pop-out. Double-check if this is the account you want to remove and click Yes.

    Your account will now be removed from the list of your bank accounts in your profile.

  • How Do I Activate Dark Theme?

    Is the Noones website too bright for you? Follow this guide to activate the dark theme and make it easier for your eyes.

    Desktop

    The dark theme is an exciting new addition to the visuals on Noones. To enable or disable the dark theme for your account:

    1. Open any page on noones.com.
    2. Scroll down to the footer of the page. Locate and click the Dark theme toggle to turn the dark theme on or off for your device.

    Web View

    1. To activate the dark theme for web view pages such as the Buy or Sell pages viewed on a browser on your mobile device, follow the same steps as you would for the desktop version, highlighted above.
